As the garden begins to wind down for the season, there’s a quiet kind of magic happening among the flowers. The seeds are forming, carrying the promise of next year’s blooms. I’d love for you to join me for a cozy morning on the farm, where we’ll sip warm apple cider, share a light snack, and wander through the garden together.
We’ll talk about how to notice the stages of seeds as they’re developing, what to look for when they’re ready to gather, and how to save them so you can grow your own in seasons to come. I’ll also share simple explanations on pollination. Cross-pollination, self-pollination, hand-pollination, and isolation as well as tips on drying, cleaning and storing seeds so they are ready for next year.
You’ll also get to take home a little piece of the farm with you! Five packets of seeds valued at $35 that include:
Confetti Mix Sweet Peas
Corncockle Blush
Cosmos Fraiche Fairytale Mix
Poppy Pink Peony
Lavatera Pink Mix
Please dress warmly for the crisp autumn morning weather and wear comfortable, sturdy footwear as we’ll be walking through the gardens and our land is bumpy. As this is a working farm, this workshop is for adults only, no children or pets, please.
Come ready to learn, wander, and be inspired by the way a single seed holds the story of tomorrow’s garden.
This workshop is hosted on our farm in Tulliby Lake. We are located approximately 50 minutes north of Lloydminster and 60 minutes from Vermilion.
More information about directions, parking, and restrooms will be included in the order confirmation. I can’t wait to welcome you to our farm!
**A signed liability waiver is required for all participants. Registration is not complete until the waiver has been submitted electronically. The waiver link will be provided after purchase and sent via order confirmation. Thank you for your understanding.
